Ken Wallewein has over 30 years of experience in the oilfield distribution business and brings strong business acumen to the management team. Ken joined Apex Distribution Inc. in 2004 as the General Manager of Saskatchewan operations and was appointed President of Apex Distribution in October 2015.
His superior abilities in business and management style have earned him a stellar reputation of business excellence throughout the industry. Ken seeks out advantageous business opportunities and manages with a skill that keeps Apex people and profits unbeatable. In his career, he has gained a full knowledge and understanding of all facets of distribution operations and management. He has a proven ability to manage all financial components of the business in a manner that enhances profitability while meeting customer service expectations. Ken’s focus on hiring the right people in the right area and empowering them to do what is best for business incorporates the values of Apex and is key to the success of the company.
Ryan Mahony joined Apex Distribution in 2016 as Vice President, Controller. Ryan brings a solid financial background and an innate understanding of business and services to Apex. His leadership ability along with his strategic planning, work ethic and and knowing what needs to be done keeps the Accounting department at a superior level to meet the growing business needs. He is a strong team builder and facilitator, fosters an atmosphere that encourages staff to balance high-level skills with maximum production. Ryan has the ability to effectively communicate direction, commit people to action and convey complex information in easily understood formats.
Ryan achieved a Bachelor of Economics degree with Honours from the University of Western Ontario and a CA designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. As well, Ryan holds a Masters in Management and Professional Accounting from the University of Toronto.

Bill Ouwejan joined Apex Distribution shortly after it’s time of inception and since then has been pivotal to the growth of the company. Bill brings over 20 years of industry experience to the Apex Sales team, which is based on a high level of customer satisfaction that emphasizes customer service and quality products. One of Bill’s greatest assets is his impeccable reputation in the industry, in which he is highly respected throughout. Bill believes that living up to the customer’s expectations are his top priority, because a customer’s trust is integral throughout the industry.
Director of Human Resources
Vanessa Reay joined Apex Distribution in August of 1999 and is a key individual to the organization. She has over 15 years of experience in the oilfield supply business in human resources, administrative and operational areas. Vanessa has implemented HR programs and policies, managing employee development and relations. Her focus has been developing an employee oriented culture that emphasizes continuous improvement, teamwork, high performance and quality. Her skills were instrumental during the start-up phase of Apex and she continues to be a valued part of the organization helping bring Apex to be an employer of choice. Vanessa’s knowledge, professionalism and diverse abilities are augmented with her positive disposition. As Director of our Human Resource and Administrative and Safety departments and a part of our management team, Vanessa embraces and emulates the fact that our people are our most valued resource. Vanessa is an active participant in various industry and human resource organizations. Her abilities and business acumen are a benefit to all of Apex’s stakeholders.
