Line Pipe
Pioneer Pipe offers quality products for all of your line pipe needs. Line pipe is typically defined as carbon steel pipe that is used for the transportation of water, oil, and gas in the oil & gas industry. The size range can vary from .405" nominal OD to 80" OD in a variety and wide range of wall thicknesses. Generally, it is produced to API (American Petroleum Institute) specifications.

The Forty-Second edition, effective July 1, 2000, made some significant changes to the grades of Line Pipe —introducing PSL1 & PSL2 grades. Grade PSL1 can be supplied for grades A25 through X70. Grade PSL2 can be supplied for grades B through X80.

Pioneer Pipe, through inventory and mill rollings, supports most of these sizes and grades. If you have a requirement for a specific size or grade, we will fill your needs with quality products and timely deliveries. If your are in need of a pipe product that is not listed above, please contact one of our salespeople.

Standard Pipe
Generally, this is carbon steel pipe used for low pressure conveyance of gas, water, oil, air stream or other fluids and for mechanical applications. It is used primarily in machinery, buildings, sprinkler systems, irrigation systems and water wells, rather than in pipelines or utility distribution systems.

It may carry fluids at elevated temperatures and pressures, which are not subject to external heat applications. It is produced in standard diameters and wall thicknesses to ASTM (American Society for Testing Materials) specifications in diameters typically from 1/8" nominal OD to 26" OD and wall thicknesses from as light as .063" to as heavy as 1.656".

Standard pipe is produced in Continuous Weld, Electric Resistance Weld, and Seamless. If your are in need of a type pipe product not listed here, please contact one of our salespeople.

Structural Pipe
Producing mills, at the time of manufacturing, reject pipe, which cannot be classified as a prime product because of some physical or chemical defect. This material is sold by the mills to steel pipe distributors, distributors of steel products, fabricators, and consumers.

Mill rejects are sold on an as is basis and carry no warranty of any kind either expressed or implied.

Reject pipe is available in CW, ERW, DSAW and Seamless, in all sizes, weights, and classes of material. Although reject pipe carries no warranty whatsoever, it can have application for structural purpose. Some typical examples where reject pipe has been used are: handrails, columns, posts, piling, sandwash, casing, culverts, fence, caissons, sign poles, bumpers, bracing, parking meter posts, towers, supports, rollers, etc. Reject pipe is normally priced substantially under prime pipe and can affect large savings in the right application. However, the buyer should be kept continually aware that this material carries no warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, from the producing mill or the pipe distributor.

Reject pipe is also known in the trade as structural grade pipe and/or limited service pipe. Limited service pipe, in certain instances, encompasses pipe which is manufactured to a specific ASTM or API specification, but because of some chemical or physical flaw does not meet the rigid requirements of the intended specification. This pipe could be subjected to lesser hydrostatic test pressures than the original specification required and this product could be classified as limited service or minimum test pipe. Limited service or minimum test pipe of this description can have application in low pressure situations such as water well or surface casing. Generally, when limited service pipe has been subjected to a minimum test it will be clearly marked on the product.  For more information, please contact one of our salespepople
