JMS was founded in July 1990 and is a full-line distributor of steel and aluminium products with eight strategically located processing and distribution facilities in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee. We currently service 11 states with daily delivery. These are Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas.


 FACILITY OVERVIEW

Blytheville, Arkansas
JMS acquired the Blytheville facilities from Huntco Steel in May of 2003. This facility is located on North County Road 1015 in Blytheville, Arkansas and has three buildings totaling 600,000 square feet. JMS Processing serves as the coil processing center for all of the JMS Metal Group. This ISO 9001:2000 coil processing facility offers world-class slitting, cut-to-length, and high speed multi-blanking operations. JMS is located ½ mile from the Nucor Steel (Hickman, AR) sheet mill and has rail access on site.

Decatur, Alabama
JMS opened a 55,000 square foot warehouse in Decatur, Alabama in September of 2000. This facility is located in the State Docks Industrial Park on Commerce Drive. JMS expanded the facility to 76,000 square feet in the Summer of 2004. This facility carries a wide range of inventory, state of the art material handling system and a complete compliment of first tier processing equipment

Hope, Arkansas
JMS Hope opened in October 2005.  This 50,000 SQFT rail served facility is located in the Hope Industrial Park.  This facility offers a wide range of inventory and various first stage processing equipment.  This facility offers daily service to Southwest Arkansas, Northeast Texas and Northwest Louisiana.

Jackson, Tennessee
JMS opened in 1990 on James Buchanan Drive in Jackson, Tennessee. In 1993, JMS expanded by purchasing TBI Steel on East Chester Street in Jackson. This addition gave JMS a total of 125,000 square feet for both facilities. In 1999, a stacker system was added that allowed the location to handle the 2,000 plus inventory items currently stocked. JMS added a beam storage facility in 2001 to serve as a hub for beam processing for all JMS locations. Both facilities offer a wide range of inventory and a diverse base of sophisticated steel processing equipment.

Jonesboro, Arkansas
JMS opened in 1995 in Jonesboro, Arkansas by acquiring and renovating a 50,000 square foot warehouse in the Jonesboro Industrial Park located on Commerce Drive. JMS expansions in 1997 and 1999 added a stacker system for material handling and increased the facility’s capacity to 105,000 square feet. Jonesboro offers a full inventory including 2,000 plus items and a host of steel processing equipment.

Paducah, Kentucky
JMS opened a 36,000 square foot warehouse in Paducah, Kentucky in June of 1999. The warehouse is located in the Littleville Industrial Park on the corner of Chester Hack and Bloom Ave. JMS expanded in 2000 and 2002 bringing the facility’s capacity to its current 75,000 square feet. The plant carries a wide range of inventory, state of the art material handling equipment and a complete line of first tier processing equipment that includes a Mitsubishi laser.    

Trenton, Georgia
JMS opened a 50,000 SQFT facility in Trenton, Georgia in the fall of 2006.  The facility is located in the Trenton Industrial Park on South Industrial Blvd.  This facility offers a wide range of inventory and various first stage processing equipment.  This facility offers daily service to East Tennessee, North Georgia and North Alabama. 


PRODUCTS

JMS carries over 2000 different products in various types of material. The product categories include carbon steel, stainless and aluminum. The material types include various shapes and grades of structural and architectural steel. Other materials available are sheets, plates, coils, expanded metal, merchant and long bar products, alloys and tubing. OUR SERVICES

Sawing
Depending on your needs, JMS can provide horizontal, vertical, and miter-cut sawing. Automatic CNC controls, along with powered loader and conveyor tables, produce consistent tolerances while meeting your just-in-time schedules. One piece or one bundle, JMS has the equipment and operators you can depend on for all your sawing needs.

Shearing
Shearing is a fundamental operation for many companies. At JMS, we start with the basic operation and deliver a superior product. Both plate and sheet shears deliver quality cuts, quick turnaround times with minimum scrap loss, and are packed to your specifications.

Forming
Need formed parts? JMS has the equipment, inventory, and expertise to deliver formed parts to your door. Whether single or multiple bends, you can depend on consistent quality formed.

Burning
JMS provides Hi Definition Plasma, Standard Plasma and Oxy-fuel cutting to produce plate cut parts for any application. All are CNC controlled with the most advanced software available. JMS can program cut parts from your prints or accept direct file transfers via the internet with precision accuracy and dependable service.

Laser
There are times when super close tolerances are required; that's why JMS invested in laser technology. With tolerances of +/- .004, second step operations are usually eliminated. Intricate parts are produced with minimum scrap and repeatability second to none. Whatever your processing requirements may be, JMS can deliver.

Coil Processing
JMS Processing’s 600,000 square foot processing facilities employs heavy and light gauge cut-to-length lines, heavy gauge and light gauge slitters, a precision blanking line and fiber equalizer. Material can be processed, stenciled, tagged, and packaged to your specifications. JMS has the people, the equipment and the inventory to meet all of your coil processing needs
