Loads and deflections given in this table are theoretical and are based on a maximum allowable fibre stress of 18,000 P.S.I.

 

NOTE: Spans and loads to the right of the heavy line exceed a deflection of 1/4" for uniform loads of 100 pounds per square foot. Experience has shown that 1/4" deflection is the maximum deflection for perestrian comfort, but can be exceeded for other types of loads at the discretion of the engineer.
For serrated-surface, increase depth by one size.

INSTALLATION

 Saddle Clip Complete Assembley - consists of saddle

Saddle Clip Complete Assembly – consists of saddle clip, 5/16" bolt, nut and bottom plate.

Field Welding – the most positive means of fastening grating to supporting members​
