JMS was founded in July 1990 and is a full-line distributor of steel and aluminum products with eight strategically located processing and distribution facilities in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee. We currently service 11 states with daily delivery. These are Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas.

On November 28, 2008, JMS acquired Norton Metals. Norton Metals began in the steel industry in 1952 and is an established major steel supplier in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Norton Metals currently services the Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas markets.
